This role is for a Principal Network Development Engineer (NDE) in the datacenter design and development organization. Your focus will be on the architecture and support of cutting-edge datacenter network fabrics and systems. You will leverage deep understanding of networking at the protocol level, coupled with coding skills to support automation in a production environment. Range and benefit information provided are specific to the stated locations only: US: Hiring Range in USD from $109,200 to $223,400 per annum. May include bonus and equity. Candidates are typically placed within the range based on these factors and internal peer equity.

Responsibilities: Work with customers to develop new datacenter fabrics and services at global cloud scale, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence. Lead technical direction for network features and automation opportunities. Define and promote engineering and operational best practices; collaborate across organizations to maintain high network quality standards; communicate technical standards with a focus on scalability. Break down designs into executable tasks, collaborate with network software teams early in the design process to develop supporting tools or frameworks. Participate in operational rotations, provide support for incidents, and serve as an escalation point for remediation; conduct root cause analysis post-incident. Mentor and develop future network engineers, providing technical leadership and guidance. Act as a bridge between network engineering and tooling organizations, translating future network needs into software requirements.
