About the Team: The Propulsion team at Relativity develops engines for the Terran R vehicle. We oversee their design from concept to launch and reuse, working closely with Manufacturing, Test, Launch, and Integration teams. Our goal is to develop our engines rapidly and support Terran R's first launch in 2026. As part of this team, you'll help build, test, and improve the Aeon-R engine systems, contributing to bringing Terran R into space. About the Role: You will own propulsion combustion devices and systems from concept through manufacturing and implementation. This role requires skills in design, analysis (structural, thermal, fluid), manufacturing, testing, project management, and communication. You will collaborate across teams and take ownership of your projects. Success in this role involves thriving in ambiguity and leading collaborative projects with minimal oversight. About You: Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field This is an entry-level position; professional experience is not required Experience applying engineering fundamentals in thermodynamics, thermal, structural, and fluids Nice to haves but not required: Experience with rocket engine development and/or testing Evidence of ownership from academic or work projects Knowledge of engine subsystems such as combustion devices, heat exchangers, ducting Exposure to additive manufacturing and automation techniques Relativity Space is committed to transparency and fairness in compensation.
