Position Details
Conducts audits of agency or departmental accounts, either individually or as part of a team.
Verifies receipts and disbursements, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Performs field audits of financial records to ensure legal and procedural adherence.
Evaluates internal accounting controls and procedures.
Prepares audit reports with recommendations for improvements.
May supervise clerical personnel involved in maintaining fiscal records.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with at least 24 credits in Accounting from an accredited institution.
Two years of experience as an accountant or auditor.
Additional Notes
Bookkeeping experience does not count towards qualifications.
CPA license can substitute for two years of experience.
