$60,500.00/yr - $82,799.00/yr Overview

We are seeking a Naval Architect to support our Washington, DC office. Candidate will analyze ship hulls and superstructures, support prototype development and testing, and assess ship performance during trials. Responsibilities include ensuring design compliance with national and international standards for surface combatant ship programs.

What will you do?

Provide analysis on ship hulls and superstructures, study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed, lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes, evaluate how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea, and change designs as needed to make sure national and international standards are met.

1 year - 4 years of relevant experience Must have active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain one

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process) Experience in surface combatant ships

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $60,500-$82,799 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.

This position is contingent upon contract award
