Job Description Monarch E&S, a division of SPG Insurance Solutions (Monarch), is a rapidly growing property and casualty/personal lines insurance wholesaler and managing general agency based in Burbank, CA, with branches in MA & FL. We sell exclusively to retail agencies across the country, focusing on small to mid-market E&S commercial and specialty personal lines risks. About The Position Responsible for developing, managing, marketing, underwriting, and sustaining profitable business by providing high-level technical and sales expertise with personal insurance coverages for clients of independent and retail insurance agents and brokerages. Responsibilities Build cooperative relationships with independent insurance agencies and brokerages to create business opportunities. Maintain underwriting and service relationships with insurance carriers, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of personal insurance and underwriting guidelines in both excess and surplus lines and standard markets. Identify acceptable business opportunities through underwriting pre-qualification. Negotiate market placements for new and renewal business successfully. Meet and sustain targeted revenue goals. Coordinate resources to achieve account objectives. Ensure the successful completion of all account tasks and details. Motivate and educate co-workers, blending leadership and technical skills. Maintain knowledge of workplace laws and policies, fostering a fair work environment. Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. Substantial experience in personal insurance brokerage or underwriting, including wholesale brokerage. Understanding of personal insurance coverages and forms for excess and surplus lines, in both admitted and non-admitted markets. Established relationships with carriers and markets. Excellent customer relations, sales, and negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills for team building and resource management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to travel extensively; valid driver’s license required. Expected salary range: $60,000 to $95,000, influenced by skills, experience, location, and business line.
