The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment. This role leads data governance initiatives and ensures data quality and compliance. How you'll create opportunities in this Data Governance Senior role: Lead the implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. Monitor data quality and ensure adherence to data governance practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality and data governance issues and implement solutions. Manage data governance projects and initiatives. Build and maintain data dictionaries, data rules, and metadata repositories. Facilitate data governance training and awareness programs. Support business data stewards in defining business glossaries and taxonomy/hierarchies Provide guidance and mentorship to team members. Create metrics and KPIs to measure governance program success. What You Will Need 4 years of relevant experience required. Experience in data governance or data management preferred. Experience with Data Governance tools such a Colilbra, Informatica Axon, Ataccama, Microsoft Purview. Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred Certifications / Licenses Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preferred Technical Competencies Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies. Experience with Data Governance tools such as Colilbra, Informatica Axon, Ataccama, Microsoft Purview. Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and monitoring tools. Knowledge of privacy, and security, and other regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOX, etc. regulations and their impact on data governance. Experience with data architecture, data modeling, crosswalks, and mappings. Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake). Proficiency in SQL to query, review, and validate data. Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), data stewardship, and ownership models.
