LiDAR Pilot

holds a current FAA Part 107 certificate and is responsible for the safe operation of drones while capturing inspection imagery and LIDAR data from Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones) and ground-based sensors. This role supports verticals such as Geospatial, Wind, Telecom, Utility, and Solar at Zeitview, Inc. The primary function is to capture accurate, actionable data for analysis by our software and analyst teams, supporting customer requirements. Responsibilities include remote pilot operations, executing flight operations to established standards, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, following company policies, technology development/testing, and logistical support. The LiDAR Pilot must be a professional remote pilot with extensive experience and expertise in at least one of Zeitview’s vertical markets, with a willingness to learn others. Responsibilities Operate drones to collect high-quality remote sensing data for various industries. Collect Geospatial data using LIDAR and GNSS survey equipment. Work cross-functionally to oversee and ensure remote pilot regulatory compliance. Follow Zeitview’s workflows and safety practices. Represent Zeitview professionally in the field. Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure continuous data collection. Qualifications Experience conducting successful remote sensing operations in at least one vertical market, with preference for Geospatial with LiDAR experience. Proficiency with DJI sUAS systems. Knowledge of photogrammetry and LiDAR workflows. Proficient use of GNSS survey equipment. Understanding of ground control point concepts. Industry-recognized certifications such as FAA Part 107. Ability to adapt to different environments. Experience managing client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives. Strong communication skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Ability to lift 70 lbs and work in austere environments for long periods. Additional Information This position may require long hours, weekend work, and international travel.
