Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven
Project Manager to lead a complex, multi-regional
data replatforming initiative within a fast-paced and high-stakes financial services environment. This role will require a seasoned professional who brings structure, discipline, and clear communication to a project characterized by tight deadlines, evolving requirements, and cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess
deep domain knowledge in investment management , the
gravitas to influence senior stakeholders , and the ability to
drive clarity and execution in ambiguity .
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional workstreams to ensure timely delivery of critical milestones in a global data replatforming program.
Provide
end-to-end project oversight , including planning, scope management, status reporting, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination.
Partner with data engineering, architecture, business intelligence, operations, compliance, and product teams to align deliverables.
Translate
limited or high-level guidance into actionable work plans and coordinate execution across regions and time zones.
Ensure strong governance and reporting mechanisms are in place to monitor progress against KPIs and delivery commitments.
Facilitate
senior stakeholder engagement , maintaining alignment across business, technology, and executive sponsors.
Manage change control, escalations, and interdependencies proactively.
Support development of communication plans, status dashboards, and presentation materials for steering committees and executive briefings.
Qualifications 7+ years of Project Management experience in financial services, preferably within
investment management or asset management .
Proven track record delivering
enterprise-scale data initiatives (e.g., data platform modernization, data migration, data governance).
Strong ability to manage in
ambiguous environments with
limited direction and high urgency .
Skilled at navigating
complex organizational structures , managing across
business and technology domains , and leading distributed teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information into executive-level messaging.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Project) and agile/hybrid methodologies.
PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is a plus.
Preferred Experience Knowledge of
data architectures in capital markets or investment management settings.
Experience working with
cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS).
Familiarity with
regulatory and compliance requirements related to data management in financial services.
Work Environment
This is a
hybrid role requiring presence in the
Boston office 2-3 days per week . The role will involve collaboration with global teams, and flexibility across time zones is expected.
