We’re seeking a skilled
.NET Full Stack Developer
to support the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) under a federal contract. This role offers a primarily remote work environment, with occasional on-site support required in Washington, DC. As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of custom applications. You’ll work across the technology stack—building RESTful APIs, crafting responsive user interfaces, and optimizing back-end data workflows in a secure, cloud-enabled environment. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable web applications using ASP.NET Core (MVC, Web API, Razor). Build and support responsive front-end interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Node.js, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS. Create and maintain stored procedures, functions, and complex queries in SQL Server; ensure performance optimization and reliability. Design and maintain RESTful APIs and middleware components in ASP.NET Core. Automate development and deployment tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Perl). Implement security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data protection within the .NET Core framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, test application performance, and deliver high-quality solutions. Manage version control using GitHub Enterprise and support CI/CD automation. Provision and manage development environments (local, virtual, and cloud-based). Perform other technical tasks as assigned in support of operational needs. Required Skills and Experience
Strong programming experience with
C#, ASP.NET MVC , and
ASP.NET Core . Proficiency in
JavaScript ,
jQuery ,
AJAX ,
Node.js , and
CSS/HTML
for front-end development. Deep knowledge of
SQL Server , including heavy use of stored procedures, performance tuning, and query optimization. Experience building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API. Hands-on expertise with
cloud technologies , especially
AWS . Solid experience with GitHub Enterprise and source control workflows. Familiarity with dependency injection and middleware in ASP.NET Core. Proven ability to create responsive, user-friendly UIs using
Bootstrap
and JavaScript libraries. Experience automating tasks and environments using scripting tools (Bash, PowerShell, or Perl). Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field Relevant certifications, such as: AWS Certified Developer (ISC)² CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional GitHub Actions Certification Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) CompTIA Security+ Work Location & Travel
