Our direct client is seeking Frontend Developer (React + TypeScript) - Chicago, IL | Contract Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite) We're looking for a Frontend Developer with strong React and TypeScript skills to support a high-impact internal project aimed at improving the developer experience. This role focuses on building and integrating tools that help internal engineering teams streamline application deployment and centralize documentation using Backstage , a popular open-source developer portal. Must-Have Skills: React and TypeScript frontend development Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines Ability to work on platform-level tools with a developer-centric focus Experience with Backstage or similar internal developer portal tools Nice-to-Haves: Backend experience (Node.js, APIs, etc.) Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure) Background in financial services or enterprise environments This is a great opportunity to work on a cutting-edge internal platform that will impact how developers build, deploy, and manage applications across the organization.
