Weapons Technician and Maintenance Specialist
to provide technical support at the Pu'uloa Range Training Facility (PRTF) aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. The PRTF supports military training in rifle and pistol marksmanship, ensuring readiness through qualification ranges, courses, and competitions. The technician will maintain, inspect, repair, and manage inventory of various military small arms and support weapons systems, ensuring all weapons are operational and safe according to USMC standards. Typical Daily Tasks: Track round counts, inspections, and conduct maintenance for weapons in the armory. Perform weapons overhaul, cleaning, inspection, defect identification, and repair. Disassemble weapons, examine parts for wear or damage, and reassemble per Technical Manuals. Complete repair documentation and requisitions. Analyze effects of different ammunitions and suppressors on weapons. Assist with weapon issuance, turn-in, and accountability during training. Support armory operations, including storage, security, and inventory control. Coordinate with Range Control and training units to ensure weapon readiness. Participate in audits, inspections, and evaluations. Qualifications: U.S. Marine Corps MOS 2111 (Small Arms Repairer/Technician) or equivalent. Knowledge of GCSS-MC or similar logistics systems. Understanding of DoD weapons security and accountability standards. Experience supporting range or training operations. High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant certification or MOS qualification. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in dynamic environments. Preferred Experience: U.S. Marine Corps MOS 2111 or equivalent. Knowledge of military logistics and security standards.
