Peridot a division of TekniPlex Inc, is a medical devices manufacturing company in Pleasanton, CA is currently recruiting for a an experienced Assembly Technician. Shift: Swing 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Pay Range is $18- $22 DOE.
Job Duties:
Perform a wide variety of tasks and processes that are required to build, assemble, inspect, and package products in a controlled manufacturing environment using microscopes and small-hand tools.
Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Peridots Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and other company standards.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assembly & inspection of small parts under a microscope. Deburring, grinding, sanding, of parts. Use of punch press, arbor press, bead blaster, & grinder.
Experience:
Experience building medical devices.
Prior experience in manufacturing or health care desired, preferably in the production of medical devices.
Assembly & inspection of small components under a microscope.
Requirements:
Good manual dexterity skills
The ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, specifications, simple instructions, short correspondence, company policies and memos
Must be able to perform repetitive job tasks.
Basic Computer skills
Ability to read & interpret assembly drawings/build per print a plus
Must desire working in a team environment
Education:
High school Diploma or GED or equivalent experience Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to work using a microscope.
