Senior Project Engineer | Heavy Civil Construction | Colorado-Based
A leading ENR-ranked heavy civil general contractor with a strong presence across Colorado is confidentially seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support ongoing transportation and
infrastructure projects across the Front Range.
This position is ideal for professionals with 6+ years of field-based civil construction experience , particularly those who have worked on roadways, bridge programs, and underground utility scopes . The role offers a balance of office and field work , with assignments across Denver, Colorado Springs, and Northern Colorado.

Key Responsibilities :
Support full project lifecycle—preconstruction through closeout—across multiple infrastructure projects
Assist with estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor management
Coordinate field activities and logistics with superintendents and foremen
Manage documentation, safety compliance, contract changes, and stakeholder communication
Ensure work is completed to plan specs, on schedule, and within budget
Represent the company in client meetings, inspections, and preconstruction planning
Leverage project controls tools and platforms (Viewpoint proficiency is a plus)
Lead internal planning on traffic control, erosion control, haul roads, and safety compliance
Qualifications :
6+ years of heavy civil project engineering experience (highways, bridges, underground utilities preferred)
Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
Demonstrated success working on DOT and public works programs
Ability to communicate effectively with field teams, subcontractors, and clients
Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability and a desire for long-term growth
Compensation Range :
$100,000 – $130,000 (based on experience) Location :
