ERM is seeking degreed entry-level Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineers to support our technical team in delivering services to clients across energy, manufacturing, mining, and chemical industries throughout the United States. Immediate openings are available in Minneapolis, MN. Candidates from within the U.S. will be considered. This is a remote/hybrid position. In this role, you will support projects involving site/civil design, stormwater engineering, remediation, erosion and sediment control, water management, and geotechnical exploration, based on your background and interests. These services are provided to clients locally, nationally, and globally. The position offers opportunities for both desktop and field work, engaging in challenging projects with industry leaders in power (solar, battery storage, wind, fossil fuels), oil and gas, electrical transmission, mining, manufacturing, and chemical sectors. As a Staff Engineer, you will apply your education, ethics, and technical skills to support our engineering team and expand ERM’s business and client base. You will collaborate with ERM's global Capital Project Delivery team and other disciplines such as planning, environmental science, and biology to complete complex projects. Training will be provided to utilize best practices in engineering and environmental fields. This role is ideal for a young engineer looking to advance their career within a global team of environmental professionals on impactful projects. Key Skills / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Environmental, Geotechnical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience. 0-2 years of experience. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or current registration for the F.E. exam is preferred. Experience with software such as AutoCAD / Civil3D, GIS, Hydraflow / HydroCAD is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Ability to research and prepare memorandums, reports, and technical sections. Relevant internship or professional experience is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to review your work. Ability to work independently and in teams. Strong communication skills, capable of discussing project specifics and relaying information effectively. Willingness to travel for fieldwork; valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply, as ERM values potential and skills. Support civil design and environmental projects, including field sampling, construction monitoring, design, permits, and reports. Develop civil/environmental designs like site plans, erosion control, stormwater management, and technical reports. Manage multiple projects concurrently in diverse locations. The annual base pay range for the Consulting Associate, Engineer position is $67,925 – $77,317 USD, depending on education, experience, and other factors. Bonus potential may be available.
