We seek a Senior Data Scientist to lead machine learning model development for our marketing campaigns, focusing on distributed systems and advanced ML technologies. This role is based in Naperville, IL, with a required in-office schedule (Mon-Fri) to foster our company culture. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing the full lifecycle of ML models for direct mail targeting and optimization Designing scalable ML pipelines using Ray.io and Anyscale for distributed training and inference Collaborating on omni-channel strategies to enhance growth and ROI Utilizing large models (LLMs) and generative AI for personalization Aligning model outputs with business goals through cross-team collaboration Conducting A/B testing and performance validation Monitoring and retraining models in production Mentoring junior team members and shaping the technical roadmap Experience and Qualifications
5+ years in applied machine learning, especially in marketing or growth analytics Proven ability to develop and deploy ML models independently Experience with Ray.io, Anyscale, or similar frameworks Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch) Experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Hugging Face) in real-world applications Deep knowledge of statistical modeling, experimentation, and causal inference Strong communication skills for diverse audiences Additional Qualifications
Experience in home warranty, insurance, or financial services, especially with direct mail Ability to thrive in fast-paced, matrixed environments Experience with MLOps tools and AWS cloud platforms Knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft O365 Education
Master’s or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields (or equivalent experience) Compensation and Benefits
