A law firm seeks a dedicated and dynamic Litigation Associate to join its Boston office. This position offers the opportunity to handle complex commercial disputes and represent clients in both state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of litigation experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload. Duties: Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal courts. Manage cases from inception through resolution, including all stages of discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial preparation materials. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop legal strategies and ensure effective case management. Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes. Stay updated on relevant legal precedents, case law, and litigation procedures to ensure high-quality service. Requirements: 4-6 years of experience in commercial litigation. Strong understanding of litigation procedures and case management. Proven ability to manage complex legal matters with a high level of autonomy. Experience in taking depositions, handling court hearings, and trial preparation. Strong academic background, with demonstrated success in legal research and writing. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Strong academic performance throughout law school. Certifications: Admission to practice law in Massachusetts. Admission to the bar in Rhode Island and/or Connecticut is strongly preferred; candidates without this admission must be willing to seek admission to these states. Skills: Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills. Strong litigation and case management abilities, with experience handling complex commercial disputes. Ability to effectively represent clients in court and communicate legal arguments persuasively. Proficiency in using legal research tools and case management software. Detail-oriented, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategies accordingly. Collaborative mindset, with an eagerness to work as part of a team while managing individual responsibilities.
