A law firm seeks an experienced mid-level litigation associate to join its Westchester County office in White Plains, NY. Duties:
Provide high-level legal support for complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
Research and analyze intricate legal issues, drafting clear and precise briefs for motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, class certification motions, writs, and appeals.
Collaborate with senior attorneys in strategizing case approaches and preparing for hearings and trials.
Review legal documents and develop compelling arguments based on case law, statutes, and regulations.
Manage and prioritize multiple cases, maintaining deadlines and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
5-6 years of litigation experience, including work on complex legal matters.
Judicial clerkship experience is required.
Proven ability to analyze, research, and draft high-quality briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues.
Experience with motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification motions, and appeals.
Strong academic credentials, with an emphasis on research, writing, and attention to detail.
Admission to the New York Bar and in good standing.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
New York Bar license in good standing.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong research and analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
Experience in drafting complex legal documents.
