Job Description Position Summary: Commonwealth LNG is seeking a qualified and motivated Lead Instrument and Controls/Telecoms Project Engineer to join our project team. This role involves serving as the client engineer during the design, construction, and commissioning/startup phases of the Commonwealth LNG project. While the focus is on project development and delivery, the successful engineer may also provide operations support after startup. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering highly integrated process control systems, telecommunications design, project management, and operations engagement. Key Accountabilities: Design and Development:

Collaborate with EPC Contractor, Main Automation Contractor, Telecommunications contractor, and package vendors to implement detailed design specifications for instrumentation and control systems. Project Management:

Support the project team to ensure project deliverables are met and minimize change orders. System Integration:

Support integration of ICSS, vendor packages, networks, telecommunications, and security systems. Cybersecurity Infrastructure:

Ensure deployed systems are secure, plan for system patching, data transfer, and remote access cost-effectively. Monitor OT networks to prevent unauthorized access. Testing and Commissioning:

Provide input for planning and be available for FAT and commissioning of all ICSS and telecommunications deliverables. Technical Support:

Offer technical expertise to team members and stakeholders. Compliance:

Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to industry standards and regulations. Qualifications: Education, Certificates, and Licenses: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required. Certification in safety system engineering, CFSE, FSE, or similar. Experience in LNG projects strongly preferred. Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience as an I&C Engineer. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding of processes within an LNG liquefaction plant for HAZOP/LOPA support. Experience with ISA 61511 across safety lifecycle, hazards analysis, SIL calculations, and SIS testing. Experience with instrumentation systems and vendor collaboration. Ability to integrate multiple vendor control and safety systems into a unified system. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Broad understanding of telecommunications systems. Additional Experience: Operational environment experience. Project design, construction, and commissioning experience. Digital networking design, especially DMZ, VLANs, and network segmentation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Control and Safety Systems engineering. Fire and Gas Systems engineering. Advanced electrical and control system design principles. Development of alarm management strategies following industry best practices. HMI development following ASM or equivalent standards. Understanding of ISA 62443 and NIST 800-82 cybersecurity standards for OT environments. Willingness to travel and relocate temporarily to project sites in Europe and Asia.
