Job Description Your Career
The Palo Alto Networks SaaS Security team seeks a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to help scale our security platform, focusing on platform and infrastructure capabilities. You will:
Be part of a world-class software engineering team working on innovative cloud security services
Lead initiatives to deliver security as a service in the public cloud with scalable, available, and fault-tolerant solutions
Develop solutions enhancing the security of AI agents and workflows
This role is based at our Santa Clara, California headquarters.
Your Impact
Build a world-class Agentic AI security platform, influencing technology decisions on architecture, integration, and reusability
Design cloud, distributed computing systems, data pipelines, and storage solutions
Research and develop machine learning algorithms for security in agentic AI workflows
Collaborate with Product Management, SRE, Software, and Quality teams to deliver new security services
Participate in all product development phases from requirements to support
Promote best practices for clean, testable, maintainable, and scalable code
Work with customer support to improve outcomes
Identify innovative, patentable solutions for complex problems
Qualifications Your Experience
Experience building scalable web applications
Proficiency in React (hooks, Redux, component architecture)
Strong back-end experience in Java or Python
Understanding of modern architecture, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with AI technologies and tools like LLMs, ML APIs, vector databases, Copilot, ChatGPT, Tabnine
Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers
Bachelor's+4 or Master's+2 years of experience in related fields
Educational background in Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent

Compensation Disclosure
The salary range for this role is $126,000 to $204,500 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation may include stock units and bonuses. Benefits details are available
