Our operations/business services team is seeking an Underwriting Associate who excels in critical thinking, prioritization, and maintaining high-level interactions with underwriters, near-shore/off-shore teams, and internal functions. Underwriting Associates support the Underwriter and the underwriting process by partnering with team members, clients, and internal functions such as Products, Finance, Claims, and Policy Processing. Responsibilities include handling renewals, new business, invoicing, and endorsements. Conduct preliminary deal analysis and prepare account data for review. Review, verify, and organize source documents from clients following standard guidelines. Collaborate with clients or process owners to resolve errors and complete transactions. Prepare documentation for issuance and review for customer acceptance. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients regarding files, records, and documentation. Contribute to developing processes and success factors for operational excellence. About The Team

If you are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and possess strong interpersonal skills, and thrive in a multicultural, collaborative environment, this role may suit you. Excellent listening, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential. Must Haves
3-5 years relevant insurance underwriting support experience. Experience in composing business correspondence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of arithmetic, clerical procedures, and customer service principles. Experience working with global teams and cultural sensitivity. Ability to prioritize, plan, and monitor work effectively. Proficiency in English. Nice To Haves
Bachelor's Degree. Knowledge of commercial property/casualty insurance principles. The position is flexible to offices in Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, MO; or San Francisco, CA, with a hybrid work model requiring three days in the office weekly.
