Position Overview
GMO’s Fixed Income group is looking to hire a Junior Structured Credit Analyst for its Boston office. The Analyst will have a knowledge of all aspects of the Structured Credit markets. The Analyst will be expected to be a creative and critical thinker with an ability to generate innovative analytical tools to be used by the investment team on a broad range of areas within the market. These would include, but not be limited to, CLOs and CDOs (both US and European), Investment Grade and HY Tranche markets (US and European), bespoke tranche markets and Investment Grade and High Yield Options Markets (U.S. and European).
Responsibilities
Perform daily review of the fund’s, performance, NAV, and risk metrics. Act as liaison between the investment team and operations regarding all aspects of trade booking, PnL reconciliation, and fund analytics. Responsible for all reporting needed to satisfy clients’ requests. Perform surveillance work on existing GMO holdings in the various credit sectors. Support the team in developing analytical tools for collateral analysis across structured product sectors. Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree required. 1-3 years of experience working in Structured Credit or Structured Finance markets. Strong quantitative and modeling skills required. Programming experience in SQL, Python, or other data-analysis language strongly preferred. Familiarity with Intex, Blackrock Aladdin strong plus. Credit training with a major financial institution and/or CFA a plus. Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks anddeadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team atmosphere. $100,000 - $120,000 a year
This salary range is estimated for this role and actual pay may be different based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or years of experience. In addition, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus award, which award may be determined by individual, team, department and firm performance, and is subject to the terms of GMO’s compensation plan. This position is also benefits eligible.
