A company with a facility in Chicago is currently seeking several CNC Commissioning Engineers and Technicians with experience in CNC manufacturing operations for long-term opportunities with their growing team. CNC Commissioning Engineer and Technician rates are anticipated to start between
$35 - $50/hr , based on experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. Overtime is paid at premium rates over 40 hours, with double time on Sundays and Holidays. We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, etc. Qualified CNC Commissioning Engineers and Technicians will have most (if not all) of the following skills and experiences: Experience with commissioning CNC machines, robotics, or automation systems. Electrical or Mechatronics degrees are a strong benefit but not essential. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Solid troubleshooting, debugging, and commissioning experience with CNC controllers such as Siemens 840D, Fanuc, and Rexroth PLCs. Experience with programming Siemens or Allen Bradley PLCs is a plus; scholastic experience will also be considered. Ability to read blueprints/schematics and troubleshoot electronic equipment. Equivalent industry electronics or electrical experience will be strongly considered. Mechanical skills are also essential, including troubleshooting, repairing, and assembling mechanical equipment. Must be able to travel 20% to 50% overnight, primarily domestically. Must be authorized to work in the US and able to complete pre-hire checks including drug screens, background checks, and references.
