About Us: Project H.O.P.E., Inc., is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Camden, New Jersey, committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality primary care, mental health, and supportive services to underserved populations. Rooted in equity, access, and advocacy, we serve as a medical home for some of the regions most vulnerable individuals. We are seeking a mission-driven Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join our executive team, lead a multidisciplinary group of clinicians, and ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care. Position Summary: The Chief Medical Officer serves as the organizations clinical leader, overseeing all aspects of medical and behavioral health services. This role includes maintaining a patient panel, while providing administrative and strategic leadership. The CMO is expected to work on-site and partner closely with the CEO, clinical directors, and departmental supervisors to strengthen care delivery, drive quality improvement, and mentor clinical staff. Key Responsibilities: Lead all clinical and quality initiatives, ensuring excellence in care delivery. Supervise and develop medical, mental health, and support staff. Oversee credentialing, privileging, peer review, and compliance with NJ and federal regulations. Direct the Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement (QA/QI) program. Establish, implement, and monitor standards related to risk management, infection control, medication safety, and regulatory readiness. Provide strategic input on operational protocols, workforce planning, and budgeting. Serve as a liaison to hospitals, public health partners, and professional societies. Oversee EHR adoption, usage, and optimization in alignment with compliance requirements. Prepare regular clinical reports for the Board of Directors and internal stakeholders. Support staff recruitment, retention, onboarding, and performance improvement. Qualifications Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey Minimum 58 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Strong background in integrated care, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance Prior experience in a community health center or FQHC preferred Familiarity with NJ Ambulatory Care standards and HRSA performance metrics Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR); experience with eClinicalWorks preferred Excellent communication, mentoring, and team-building skills Prior experience working within a Federally Qualified Health Center is preferred Additional Requirements: Valid NJ Drivers License Availability via phone/email during and after business hours Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and walk/stand up to 80% of the time Sitting, standing and walking approximately 80% of the time

Compensation & Benefits: Annual Salary:

$230,000 - $280,000 (based on experience and qualifications) Schedule:
