We are looking for an experienced leader responsible for managing crucial layers within Flowserve’s global Cybersecurity strategy. This role oversees tactical Cyber Operations and Cyber Engineering teams and ensures the delivery, performance, and advancement of services and capabilities aligned with Flowserve’s business, compliance, and risk reduction objectives.
This resource is expected to lead by example, guiding a hybrid team of employees, contractors, and external service providers, managing program delivery, and serving as a critical interface between Cybersecurity leadership and cross-functional IT and business units. The manager must demonstrate strong judgment, decisiveness, and the ability to execute under ambiguity.
This role is structured to serve as a senior tactical leader, capable of bridging strategic priorities with operational execution. It provides significant exposure to executive decision-making and enterprise risk alignment, offering a development path toward broader Cybersecurity and technology leadership roles within Flowserve.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Cybersecurity execution across Cyber Operations (endpoint, perimeter, awareness, and security analytics) and Cyber Engineering (vulnerability management, threat intelligence, automation, and artificial intelligence).
Drive roadmap execution in alignment with ISO 27001:2022, NIST CSF, and Flowserve’s enterprise risk and compliance strategy.
Track control effectiveness, KPI performance, and SLA adherence across supported Cybersecurity domains.
Maintain organizational readiness for security incidents, including coverage for forensics and tabletop exercises.
Coordinate with SIEM and SOAR teams to refine detection logic, alert fidelity, and automated response workflows.
Provide escalation leadership during Cybersecurity incidents and guide recovery activities.
Serve as the primary control owner for designated ISO 27001:2022 domains, ensuring audit readiness and continuous improvement.
Generate recurring maturity reports, dashboard metrics, and risk summaries for Cybersecurity leadership.
Partner with internal compliance, legal, and risk teams to support audits and internal assessments.
Work closely with IT, Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and Engineering to embed Cybersecurity into business-as-usual operations.
Support M&A activity by facilitating Cybersecurity due diligence, onboarding, and integration efforts.
Standardize and optimize the Cybersecurity toolset across global teams to reduce operational complexity.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience, including applicable U.S. military background.
8+ years of progressive Cybersecurity experience with 4+ years in leadership roles involving program, people, or vendor management.
Demonstrated experience in incident response, EDR, threat detection, and security automation.
Familiarity with ISO 27001:2022 control ownership, audit response, and evidence collection.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence executive stakeholders.
Proven ability to navigate complexity and solve high-impact problems using creative and strategic thinking.
Track record of mentoring and empowering technical professionals to grow their capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing hybrid delivery teams, including external partners and MSSPs.
Familiarity with Flowserve’s Cybersecurity stack: SentinelOne, Rapid7, KnowBe4, Cloudflare, Zscaler, and Trend Micro.
Experience supporting Cybersecurity in global industrial or manufacturing environments, including OT/ICS integration.
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
