We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated

Maintenance Technician

to join our team. This position requires the ability to work independently and manage a flexible work schedule to ensure timely completion of weekly maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician will travel to various sites throughout Salt Lake Valley, Tooele County, and Davis County to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring facilities remain in excellent operating condition. This includes identifying, addressing, and repairing problems proactively to prevent further issues. The technician performs a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to preserve the safety, functionality, and appearance of the building and grounds. Requirements: Job Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing windows, doors, walls, and other structural elements. Address plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and fixture repairs. Diagnose and repair simple electrical wiring problems. Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems to ensure proper climate control. Apply preventative measures, such as roof sealants, to avoid future damage. Repair safety hazards promptly to prevent accidents or injuries. Repaint interior and exterior areas as needed to maintain a clean appearance. Maintain lawns, landscaping, and other outdoor spaces if applicable. Assist with large-volume moving services between facilities. Assist with routine inspections of units and buildings. Report maintenance issues outside of scope of work/skill-set to management, and coordinate with verified contractors as needed to ensure project completion. Report potential hazards to management. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Practice and adhere to OSHA Safe Lifting Guidelines. Recordkeeping & Reporting Immediately report any critical incidents to Facilities Maintenance Manager. Update work order software Appfolio during progress and completion of tasks. Collect and report data necessary to meet funding and statistical requirements. Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Manager Skills: Carpentry Skills:

Ability to complete basic structural repairs. Plumbing Knowledge:

Competence in identifying and fixing leaks, drainage issues, and fixture problems. Electrical Skills:

Capability to troubleshoot and repair building electrical systems. HVAC Maintenance:

Understanding of climate control systems and routine upkeep. Groundskeeping:

Ability to maintain outdoor areas, including lawn care and minor landscaping. Attention to Detail:

Ensures work is completed safely and thoroughly. Interpersonal Skills:

Communicates clearly and respectfully with staff and residents. Physical Stamina:

Able to perform manual labor for full shifts, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and working in inclement weather (hot and cold). Flexibility:

Willing and able to take on additional tasks as needed. Qualifications: Proven experience in facilities management or a related field. Possess a valid Utah State Driver’s License and be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy to operate maintenance vehicles. Familiarity with Appfolio is desired, but not required. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
