Position Description: Supports operations and maintains production and quality by ensuring efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This position ensures company facilities are maintained to company and regulatory standards. Essential responsibilities:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of machinery and control instruments. Controls downtime by performing the daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance inspections; conducts safety compliance inspections and maintains records of the production equipment; informs production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Maintains mechanical maintenance log/reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Request components used in the repair or preventative maintenance or equipment and facilities. Ensure Company facilities, including buildings and grounds, are maintained to Company standards
Additional Responsibilities: Performs all work in a safe and healthy manner in accordance with OSHA standards. Keeps maintenance stock room and department in tidy and orderly fashion. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed The employee will be required to perform other job-related

Job duties may change as required by needs of company Education Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies/skill Qualifications: Understands machinery operation, maintenance procedures Ability to routinely troubleshoot and repair equipment. Diagnose mechanical failures, electrical problems. Able to read electrical schematics Must be able to understand SOP’s and follow work instructions. English Proficiency required Physical Requirements: Must have a full range of body movements including use of hands for handling objects and equipment, and bending, reaching, and crouching. Must have command of senses - sight, hearing, touch, and smell. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and move 100 pounds with regularity
