Some of your responsibilities will include:Assisting with personal hygiene, including bathing, brushing teeth, toileting, and changing linensHelping patients with mobility, repositioning, and transfersMonitoring and recording vital signsDocumenting important information in patient chartsProviding compassionate care, including support for patients nearing the end of lifeThis role involves exposure to bodily fluids and dynamic and sensitive situations. Unit Description:The Medical Surgical Unit is a 23 bed unit located on the 5th floor Unit 5100 of the Midtown Campus. The unit cares for patients from 18 years of age through geriatric with medical surgical diagnosis that may or may not require remote telemetry monitoring. Scope of care will include medical surgical patients with complication due to pneumonia, COPD & asthma exacerbations, heart failure, and viral/bacterial infections.
