Job Description:Our client, a major hospital, is actively seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mammographer to join their outpatient breast center on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of well-established, experienced radiographers in a supportive and collaborative environment.Schedule:Full-time, Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (closing at 5 PM)Occasional Saturdays: 7 AM to 3 PMFlexible scheduling availableSupportive team culture with mentoring and opportunities for professional growthCandidates must have graduated from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology, be a graduate of an accredited school of Mammography Technology, and have a current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board(MRT), be a Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) and be a Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).Role Overview:This position performs routine and diagnostic mammography procedures used by physicians to detect abnormalities, make diagnoses, and support treatment planning. This is a patient-facing role that requires strong clinical, technical, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Perform high-quality mammographic exams, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures and industry regulations Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, ensure proper positioning, and administer contrast when neededSelect appropriate imaging techniques and ensure consistent image qualityAccurately input and monitor patient data in imaging systemsPerform quality assurance testing on equipment; assist with accreditation preparation (e.g., ACR, MQSA)Report equipment malfunctions, patient incidents, or safety concerns to the department leadershipParticipate in on-call rotation if requiredContribute to a culture of safety and professionalism, adhering to hospital policies and patient care standardsSupport new staff and students as a preceptor or mentorMaintain continuing education and skills competencies by the hospital and regulatory requirementsMinimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology programCompletion of an approved Mammography Technology programLicenses/Certifications:BLS or ACLS certificationActive or temporary Texas Medical Board MRT licenseARRT certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT-R)ARRT certification in Mammography (ARRT-M)Additional Requirements: Ability to lift or assist with maneuvering patients as neededMust be able to stand for extended periods and work in a clinical care environment
