8 hours, days Employment Type:
Travel Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including: Bone, brain, liver, renal, cardiac, gastric emptying, MUGA, HIDA scans PET/CT, thallium stress tests, perfusion studies Cancer staging, uptake and flow studies (I-123, DTPA, GE, Sestamibi, Ventilation/Perfusion) Conduct pharmacological and exercise stress testing (Adenosine, Captopril, Persantine) Start and manage peripheral IVs for radiopharmaceutical administration Draw venous blood as needed for studies Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging using Siemens, Hitachi, Toshiba, Phillips, and GE equipment Follow radiation safety protocols for storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials Provide age-appropriate care to adult and pediatric patients Educate patients and families on procedures and radiation safety Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions Maintain detailed documentation of all exams and radiopharmaceutical usage Work collaboratively with physicians, radiologists, and clinical staff Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient charting (preferred) Maintain departmental quality assurance and participate in equipment checks Required: BLS, NMTCB or ARRT
