Description:
This position is responsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients. The Dental Assistant performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Assistants hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.
Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and materials, performing suctioning, and other tasks as needed.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping them neat and organized.
Manage patient records and assist with charting
Sterilize instruments and ensure operatory cleanliness
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
Support the front desk as needed
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Dental Experience is preferred
Understanding of general dental hygiene procedures
Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, technical skills and equipment is preferred
Complies with all regulations, protocols, and procedures
Communicate clearly and professionally with the dentist, patients, and other team members
Friendly, professional, and dependable with great interpersonal skills
