POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate systematic processes for effective management of our cancer program and services. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Formal Education / Training:

Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or eligible, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). Workplace Experience:

Coordination of patient care delivery related to oncology services. Equipment and Skills Training:

Minimum of three years' cancer registry experience. Previous coding experience preferred, alongside program management or administrative experience. Familiarity with FORDS, SEER, EOD, AJCC, NAACCR, and ACoS-COC survey processes is essential. Physical Environment:

Requires effective communication in English, ability to stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS QUALITY OF CARE Ensure accountability for the quality of services within the Cancer Program. Collaborate with the Cancer Committee to develop, implement, and review standards, goals, policies, and procedures. Monitor quality assurance and improvement initiatives with the Director of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement. Facilitate integration and cooperation among committees and services. Maintain communication between departments to promote goodwill and enhance quality improvement. Lead the development of task forces and committees to foster collaboration. Oversee continuous assessment, implementation, and monitoring of cancer program activities. COMMUNICATION Collect and distribute program-related data to the Cancer Committee and leadership for annual review and revision of goals. Document and report findings from monitoring and evaluation activities to the Cancer Committee quarterly. Assist in creating, publishing, and disseminating the Oncology Annual Report. Keep the Cancer Committee Chairman and Chief Nursing Officer informed of progress, urgent issues, and recommendations. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Collaborate with marketing to develop strategies for promoting Cancer Program services. Enhance visibility and accessibility of the Cancer Center. Assist in creating promotional materials. Communicate the quality and benefits of the Cancer Program widely. Support marketing efforts to promote high-risk cancer screening programs. PLANNING/PROGRAMMING Oversee the activities of the Cancer Program for quality service delivery and successful cancer certification. Keep abreast of Commission on Cancer standards and report modifications to the Cancer Committee. Participate in ACoS special studies measuring quality and outcomes. Lead efforts to maintain ACOS accreditation, facilitating the Survey Application Record (SAR) completion. Coordinate attendance and case selection for Cancer Conferences and maintain minutes. Submit accurate cancer data promptly to the National Cancer Data Base (NCDB). Establish efficient operations of the Cancer Registry and ensure accurate patient data collection. Conduct follow-up activities to maintain compliance with American College of Surgeons' follow-up rate requirements.
