Recognizing and valuing exceptional talent, we're eager to discuss the exciting details of this bonus during our interview process.*Job SummaryThe Cytology Technologist is an experienced professional responsible for complex light microscopic analyses, cytodiagnostic interpretations, and quality control activities. Primary tasks include releasing final interpretations for Pap tests negative for intraepithelial lesions or malignancies and performing on-site sample preparation and rapid adequacy assessments at image-guided procedures.QualificationsKey ResponsibilitiesSample Examination:Conducts thorough examinations of cytologic samples (e.g., Pap tests, sputa, bronchoscopic specimens) and renders cytomorphologic interpretations.Documentation:Accurately documents cytologic findings, hours worked, and slides screened. Appropriately triages cases.FNA Service:Covers fine needle aspiration services, prepares slides, triages samples for testing, and provides rapid adequacy evaluations.Quality Assurance:Participates in quality assurance activities and retrospective slide reviews to ensure high standards.Problem-Solving:Addresses issues related to diagnosis, administration, IT, and customer service.
