What does a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) do?
As a member of the Clinical Services team at The Arc Lexington the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of the OTR to assist in the assessment, treatment development, implementation, and monitoring of Occupational Therapy services. The COTA provides training and support to agency staff in Day Hab and Residential settings. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Qualifications: Associate's degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program is required. Must have current registration with New York State and certification with the American Occupational Therapy Association. Experience working with people with disabilities is Preferred.
