Your Impact at Lila As a Lab Operations Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our physical lab infrastructure, ensuring that our cutting-edge scientific environments are functional, safe, and optimized for discovery. Your role will be critical in maintaining the health of our lab equipment and environments, supporting our scientists in running seamless experiments and ensuring the smooth flow of physical resources through the lab. What You'll Be BuildingManage and maintain a broad range of scientific equipment, including calibration, preventative maintenance, and repair coordinationTrack and troubleshoot lab instrumentation across chemistry, biology, and materials science domainsOversee and streamline inventory systems for reagents, consumables, and lab suppliesCoordinate vendor visits, equipment installations, and service contractsMonitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with biosafety, chemical hygiene, and waste disposal regulationsFacilitate onboarding of new scientific staff and contractors with respect to lab tools, operations, and safety practicesCollaborate cross-functionally to support research, engineering, and automation needs What You'll Need to Succeed3-5 years experience in lab operations or lab management, preferably in a physical sciences environmentDemonstrated experience managing and troubleshooting scientific equipment (e.g., HPLCs, centrifuges, thermal cyclers, spectrometers, etc.)Strong understanding of lab inventory systems and organizationFamiliarity with biosafety and hazardous waste management practicesExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsComfort working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment with changing needs• Bonus Points ForCertifications in biohazard waste handling or OSHA/HazMatExperience with equipment procurement and budget trackingBackground in chemistry, biology, materials science, or related fieldExperience with lab automation or roboticsFamiliarity with digital lab management tools (e.g., Quartzy, Labguru, or equivalent) We're All InLila Sciences is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status.
