Position Summary As a Traveling Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical needs of both our esteemed patients and doctors. Your responsibilities will encompass patient care, recordkeeping, and appointment scheduling. You will work under the guidance of dentists and closely collaborate with dental hygienists in daily operations. Duties and Responsibilities Assist the dentist with patient care chairside by demonstrating thorough knowledge of dental instruments. Maintain inventory control in treatment areas. Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC standards. Provide exceptional patient interactions related to scheduling, follow-up treatment, and record-keeping. Execute basic lab procedures such as taking impressions and preparing cases for external labs. Help maintain a clean and welcoming public area. Perform any miscellaneous job-related duties as required. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. X-ray License required. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems, demonstrating eagerness to learn. Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or commitment to pursue licensure immediately. 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling, including availability for evenings and weekends. Knowledge and Skills/Expected Competencies Familiarity with dental instruments and effective patient care. Strong communication skills for conveying medical information to professionals and the public. Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
