Era Living is seeking part-time Resident Assistants to become the newest members of our Community Health team located in our University House Wallingford Community, Seattle, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Saturday 11:00pm - 07:30am, additional shifts may be available for pick-up. Resident Assistants provide personal care services and exceptional clinical observation of residents living in licensed apartments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, transferring, toileting and feeding) to all residents living in licensed apartmentsCommunicate effectively with persons with cognitive impairment and mental health issuesAssist residents with their self-medications as required (we are opened to train on learning how to administer medication to the residents)Provide simple housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up the apartment and bathroom, and emptying trash per protocolKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to provide all aspects of personal care to older adults at all functional levelsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formAbility to schedule tasks effectively to meet strict deadlines and within allotted timeAbility to read, write and communicate in EnglishAbility to pass DSHS and State background check, requiredEducation and Experience:Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Care Aide Certification required; Registered Nursing Assistant Certification acceptable with proof of graduation from Era Living approved school, a copy of NAR license, and on condition that CNA license is earned within 120 days of hireMust complete Dementia and Mental Health training within 90 days of hireCurrent first aid and CPR certification, requiredPossess Medication Technician certification or able to obtain within 30-days of hire, as required by communityFood Handler's Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hireTwo (2) years' experience working with seniors preferredOne (1) year experience care giving preferredAbout Era Living: If you are passionate about improving the quality of life for older adults and exemplify a values based approach to your work, demonstrating integrity, credibility, consistency, strong team orientation, and outstanding communication, we welcome your application!Era Living was voted "2024 Winner: Best in the Pacific Northwest - Senior Community" by the Seattle Times.
