We're expanding and excited to welcome a new Dental Assistant to our team!
We're seeking a qualified and reliable Dental Assistant who can help make our office more efficient and create a pleasant experience for our patients. This role supports both administrative and clinical tasks to help ease the dentist's workload and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent patient care. You should be comfortable following instructions, adhering to dental office protocols, and contributing to a supportive team environment.
An interest in learning and assisting with facial aesthetics is a plus!
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome patients upon arrival to the office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort throughout
Select, set up, and organize instruments, equipment, and materials as needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment room
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a dental assistant
Familiarity with dental instruments and sterilization techniques
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical procedures, such as coronal polishing is a plus
Proficient with dental software and general computer skills
Strong communication skills with a friendly, patient-focused demeanor
Excellent attention to detail
Organized, dependable, and able to multitask effectively
High school diploma required; graduation from an accredited dental assisting program preferred
Additional certifications or training (e.g., EFDA) are a plus
