Staff Psychiatrist, Community Health Center, New Hampshire A non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides housing, healthcare, home health, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and more in collaboration with many community partners is seeking a staff psychiatrist. Center offers primary, preventive, and behavioral health care services to children and adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, uninsured, under-insured, or low income. Health Center seeks a Psychiatrist to work as a key member of a highly accomplished and skilled management team. The Psychiatrist is responsible for providing psycho-educational counseling and psychotherapeutic interventions to qualified individuals by providing comprehensive and evidence-based practices. The psychiatrist makes initial assessment of clients condition, sets up a plan of care with client, and implements this plan in coordination. Establishes treatment priorities based on medical diagnosis and implements with the clients care and safety in mind. When appropriate, works with client to gain an increased level of independence with treatments. Works with other community agencies involved with the client. Observes signs and symptoms, reactions to medication and/or treatments and changes in the clients physical or emotional condition and reports to the Medical Director as needed. Reports significant changes to clients physician. Makes recommendations for additional or modified services, coordinating clients total needs with other members of the team. Participates in staff development programs and meetings as assigned. Participates in Center quality programs and actively seeks ways to improve patient care and the Centers efficiency.
