SONOGRAPHER

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Assists with interventional procedures as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team members to provide high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation.Key Responsibilities:Perform Ultrasound examsEnter patient demographics into database to provide tracking of images through digital storageEnsure appropriate exam is performed based on physician's orders and patient historyDelineates anatomy, disease process or pathological conditions within patient populationInterprets ultrasound findings and tailors additional images based on most likely diagnosisProvide accurate and consistent patient education and explanation of examsUpdate patient logs and submits billingEnsure operation of equipment and coordinates equipment maintenanceAssist with training and other duties as necessary or assigned.May assist physician or other staff with invasive proceduresOther duties as assigned/necessaryQualifications:Proven experience performing diagnostic ultrasound exams across various specialtiesProficiency with ultrasound equipment and image archiving systems (PACS)Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and common pathologiesAbility to accurately interpret ultrasound findings and adjust imaging techniques accordinglyDetail-oriented with strong documentation and data entry skillsExcellent communication skills for patient interaction and educationCommitment to patient care, safety, and maintaining confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under minimal supervisionCapable of working independently and as part of a healthcare teamWillingness to participate in staff training, mentoring, and ongoing professional developmentEducation:High School diploma or GED requiredGraduate of accredited ultrasound programCertification or registry eligible for certification through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
