Overview
North 3 consists of a 24 bed post-surgical cardiac and vascular nursing department. Caring for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries and procedures including cardiothoracic, cardiovascular surgery, electrophysiology procedures, and percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). Fast paced environment with high acuity patients requiring cardiac care and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities
PCTs will perform patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Team members under the age of 18 may not independently operate mechanical lift equipment.
Qualifications License(s)/Certification(s):
CNA certification preferred
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Other:
Must be 16 years old or older
Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
