is seeking experienced
Sterile Processing Technicians
for a 13-week contract. The technician will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and surgical efficiency through the proper cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and reusable patient care equipment Operate and monitor sterilizers (Steam, ETO, Sterrad, Steris); conduct and document biological and Bowie-Dick tests Interpret chemical indicators and ensure accurate documentation of sterilization processes Assemble case carts based on surgical schedules and surgeon preference cards Communicate with OR staff regarding item shortages or instrument availability Accurately use computerized instrument count sheets Follow infection control protocols, wear PPE properly, and comply with hospital policy standards Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of a Central Processing course
or
at least 1 year of experience in sterile processing National Certification (CRCST or CBSPD) is required Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., push/pull up to 60 lbs., and stand for extended periods Must be available for rotating shifts, every other weekend, and 3 out of 6 major holidays
