Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to residents, assist with treatment plans, and promote functional independence.
Key Responsibilities: • Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and coordination. • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and other activities based on resident needs. • Monitor and document progress, reporting any changes to the Physical Therapist. • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA. • Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
