Overview:

The Program Coordinator is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the effectiveness of the day-to-day operations of the Stroke program in accordance with facility policies, service line objectives, and clinical standards. Accountable for program accreditation and/or certification by regulatory bodies.

The schedule for this position will be 40 hours, Monday thru Friday.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs

Master's Degree preferred

Experience Requirements

Five years experience in acute care

Neuro ICU experience required

Two years nursing experience working with stroke patients

Experience with data analysis and performance improvement

Experience with program coordination

Previous leadership experience preferred

Requires advance knowledge in nursing, evidence-based practice methods, and person-centered care concepts

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and requirements

Licenses/Certification Requirements

RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.

Certification in applicabale professional clinical specialty or nursing administration required upon hire or within 6 months (such as CNML)

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
