Software Engineer - Product Responsibilities:

Help build the next generation of systems behind Meta's products.

Create web and/or mobile applications that reach over two billion people.

Build high volume servers to support content.

Help build highly scalable performant solutions.

Develop algorithms and rely on core computer science concepts, and apply that knowledge to real world systems.

Contribute to architectural decisions.

Employ specialty knowledge across the following areas: data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, and operating systems.

Utilize knowledge of data base management system software, development environment software, object oriented development software, program testing software, operating system software, and various programming languages.

Utilize knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, and of systems architecture and components, including networking and storage.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent) and 1 yr experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

Requires 12 months of experience involving the following skills:

Coding in at least one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#

Building large-scale infrastructure applications

Creating web applications using at least one of the following: Python, PHP, or Ruby

Relational databases and SQL

Implementing web interfaces using at least one of the following: JavaScript, HTML, or CSS

Full stack web/mobile application development in at least one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#

Leveraging frameworks, including experience in at least one of the following: React or React Native

Conducting design and code reviews

Object-oriented software development

Building maintainable and testable codes bases including API design and unit testing techniques

Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)

Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS including file manipulation and simple command

Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

Building highly-scalable performant solutions

Building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques

Public Compensation:

$173,921/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
