Overview
Nakupuna Solutions is seeking an ESS Administrator. The ESS Administrator II is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing host-based security systems to protect organizational endpoints, servers, and networks from security threats while ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.

Administer and maintain ESS infrastructure and components
Configure and manage McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)
Monitor and respond to security events and alerts
Implement and maintain security policies across endpoints
Perform system updates and patch management
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scanning
Generate and analyze security reports
Troubleshoot ESS-related issues
Manage antivirus and anti-malware solutions
Coordinate with security teams for incident response
Document procedures and maintain system documentation
Provide technical support to end-users
Ensure compliance with security standards and policies
Provide support for DREN system administrator to include, but not limited to, troubleshooting DREN systems and troubleshooting network issues.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field
3+ years of experience in HBSS or ESS administration
Relevant certifications such as:
McAfee Certified Product Specialist (MCPS)
CompTIA Security+
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
Skills/Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Extensive knowledge of McAfee ePO and HBSS or ESS components
Experience with endpoint security solutions
Understanding of network security protocols
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, RMF)
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python)
Understanding of system hardening principles
Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM)
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent troubleshooting skills
In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles
Knowledge of security compliance requirements
Ability to analyze security logs and metrics
