PROJECT MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY
Location: Aledo, TX
The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects to the contracts, overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project financial projections, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The Project manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management including Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
Work with various departments to develop the objectives/goals of each for timely completion of projects.
Coordinate accounting for managing the budget, providing projections and forecasting, tracking of team expenses, processing budgets and price for change orders outside of the contract scope, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, superintendents, and laborers.
Coordinate with Construction Manager to monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
Bringing about optimum utilization of resources-labor, materials, and equipment, and ensuring their procurement at most cost-effective terms.
Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
Visits to construction sites.
Work with proposal teams to develop cost estimates and project plans.
Create presentations and reports to communicate project status.
Customer training specific to the cooling towers provided.
Other duties as required and assigned.
Skills and Knowledge
Experience in construction operations.
Construction company project manager, with a technical aptitude, previous experience .
A bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrable problem-solving project management experience and skills.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
Strong organizational, time management, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
Ability to travel approximately 15 % of the time to project sites, as needed.
