Overview The GIS Specialist is responsible for implementing various phases within the enterprise GIS program replacing Orange and Rocklands' (O&R) current NRG Mapping System. The candidate will support the O&R data migration and conflation to Schneider's ArcFM platform. The candidate is responsible for evaluating and testing the integrity, accuracy and spatial location of NRG data in Arc FM.

Responsibilities Core Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include the production process, work, and reporting associated with the Data Migration and Quality Assurance (QA) of the migration and conflation of data deliverables from the Geographic Information System (GIS) and Systems Integration (SI) vendors, as well as various pilot data migration components. Responsible for attending ArcFM system testing and configuration workshops. Participate in project workshops and status calls, lead discussions with vendor teams, provide feedback, and report status to the project managers on planned and ongoing GIS work. Monitors the quality of data, examines complex data, and resolves data quality issues using root cause analysis. Responsible for the tracking workstream of issuing maps on the legacy mapping systems and implementing a comprehensive plan to post all changes on the new system. Provide support to the Data Quality Manager as necessitated. Perform other related tasks and assignments as required. Qualifications Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant work experience Relevant Work Experience

Two years of experience and a proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, required. Excellent communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills, required. Prior GIS experience, required. Must be tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, required. In-depth knowledge of Electric and/or Gas mapping and layout design processes and understanding of electric and/or Gas distribution systems, preferred. Prior experience with QA/QC of large projects, preferred. Experience in leading and facilitating meetings and workshops, preferred. Licenses and Certifications

Driver's License Required Additional Physical Demands

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory and to other company locations as needed.
