Job Summary:
Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards.
Job Duties:
Work with management to schedule work for the most effective use of the personnel and equipment
Expedite orders in a manner to maintain the production schedule and lead a team of identified employees
Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and communication with employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
Act and resolve problems adversely affecting schedule while working towards continuous improvement in the production/manufacturing shop
Reads, interprets, and follows pass downs, work orders, blueprints, and work instructions
Support department processes to maximize efficiency, quality, and promote rules and safety practices
Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized and participates in training, safety, quality programs, and continuous improvement efforts
Ensure inspections are conducted with relevant instructions and procedures that may be established for a particular product or project, including fabrication and electrical integration.
Ensure that the assembly or production line adheres to standards, procedures, and comply with legal requirements
Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
Supports training the production and quality team on control measures to improve product excellence.
Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and attending regular training.
Collecting and compiling statistical quality data
Support in the development of test methods and inspection plans and determining the causes of product defects and reworks, maintain calibration schedule and update measurement equipment log file
Support with energizing electrical equipment up to 480VAC, and or 125VDC and perform functional tests as required, and coordinate, support customer Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with one year of experience with electrical or fabrication inspection and testing, and/or relevant on the job experience required
Understanding of the basics of electrical components required
Understanding of the basics of electricity required
Understanding of organization, planning, and scheduling required
Good written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills required
Keen attention to detail required
Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications required
Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers required
Understanding of quality assurance procedures and processes required
Understanding of target market and consumer needs required
Blueprint and electrical schematic reading capabilities required
Documentation and reporting skills required
Teamwork and collaboration required
Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required
Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
Qualifications:
Three plus years’ experience with electrical inspection and testing
An AS or BS degree in Engineering
Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state and industry standards, UL codes and best practices required
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) MTR Certification for UL508A and or UL891
OSHA10 or OSHA30 Certification
Experience with State Certification process
Understanding of welding methods
Experience in an ISO environment
AWS Certified Weld Inspector Certification
NACE Coating Inspector Certification
NETA Certification for Electrical Testing
