Jolt Credit Union is seeking a Full time Member Service Rep (Branch Ops) for our State Street branch in Saginaw. Are you passionate about providing friendly and accurate service? About this position:
Customer service experience is a must; credit union, teller, cash handling, or sales experience a plus.
The Member Service Rep is primarily responsible for the following:
Deliver service to both members and coworkers that is in alignment with our Service Promise:
"Giving it All We've Got, Every Day and Everywhere"
Credit union product promotion and recommendations
Verifying cash in drawer at beginning and end of day
Processing deposits, loan payments, VISA payments, and other types of payments
Disbursing account withdrawals and cashing checks
Process other transactions relative to accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.
Issuing Cashier's checks
Cashing U.S. Savings Bonds
Responding to member inquiries (interest rates, account balances, etc.)
Assisting with balancing branch, vault, ATM, etc.
Assist members with online & mobile banking.
Process Account Modifications
Add and delete products and joint account owners
Set up auto transfers for members
Issue certificates
Assist members with opening accounts, including Money Market, Super Saver, Kasasa Saver accounts, Kasasa Checking, Checking, and Teen Debit accounts.
Close member accounts
Open, close, disburse, and process contributions for IRAs.
Conduct new member onboarding weekly calls.
Process credit pay transactions.
Assist co-workers with out of balance situation.
Conduct Vault/Recycler/ATM/Drawer audits.
Take and disburse loan/credit applications.
Communicate loan decisions to members.
A successful Member Service Rep will also possess the following skills and abilities:
Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
High degree of accuracy
Personable, conscientious, patient, and confident
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time or move from sitting to standing frequently
The ability to enter data using a keyboard, type, perform basic calculations, and count cash with accuracy
Possess good alertness, concentration and memory
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, judgment, and comprehension
