Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing Java applications for BNY Mellon's core systems. Develop and integrate secure and efficient
RESTful APIs . Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and QA engineers to understand and implement business requirements. Support deployment, testing, and release processes in a CI/CD environment. Ensure code quality and participate in code reviews and performance tuning. Maintain proper documentation and follow enterprise coding standards. Work in Agile/Scrum methodology and participate in sprint ceremonies. Required Skills:
5+ years of Java development experience in an enterprise environment. Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security. Proficient in building and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON/XML. Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server. Familiar with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools. Good understanding of Microservices architecture and inter-service communication patterns. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills:
Experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably with large institutions like BNY Mellon. Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and container tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks. Frontend knowledge (Angular/React) is a plus. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
